Ni'Jeel Meeking joins #CarterBoys17

The Horned Frogs are having a pretty good Sunday morning. They have added two players to their 2017 class, earlier today they added safety Kerry Johnson and now they have added a talented wide receiver from the boot, Ni'Jeel Meeking from Farmersville, LA.

The Frogs hosted Ni'Jeel and his family this weekend and he decided that TCU is where he should continue his education and football career. I spoke with Na'Jeel today to get his thoughts on TCU and what went into him making this decision.

What was the visit like for yourself and your family?

"It was great experience for me & my family."

Who were the coaches that recruited you?

"My recruiter was (Receivers) Coach Rusty Burns."

What drew you to TCU?

"What drew me was how much they welcomed me & how it felt like home for me"

Who did you spend time with on your visit?

"I spent majority of the time with Isaiah Graham & he said it was great school & I would like it a lot.."

What skills as a receiver do you bring to the table?

"A speedy receiver that has height and able to high point balls."

What does being a member of #CarterBoys17 mean to you?

"It means a lot, been waiting for this for a while now."

Meeking joins a talented group of receiver in the class of 2017 that includes Jalen Reagor, Kenedy Snell and Omar Manning. They are going to make 2017 signee Shawn Robinson's life a whole lot easier and defensive backs in the Big 12's a lot harder.

Welcome Ni'Jeel Meeking to the Horned Frog Family!

UPDATE February 1st: At the Signing Day Press Conference, Gary Patterson said Meeking would be playing Linebacker and eventually Defensive End at TCU. Patterson said they love his athleticism as a playmaker on defense.
