TCU is pushing hard for Louisiana players Terrace Marshall, Justin Rogers and Slade Bolden

Summer 2017 will be an important one for TCU Football. This year they will have a slew of players graduating and many of their top targets are looking to pick their future home's this summer. #CarterBoys18 is already shaping up to be one of the better recruiting classes in TCU history. The team at Purple Menace are going to give you their thoughts on how likely those top targets will pick the Horned Frogs in the next few months.

The Frogs are the frontrunners for Rogers and he is by far their number one target in the class. He has cut his list down to TCU, LSU and North Carolina and will make his decision on his birthday, May 31st. If the Horned Frogs can add Rogers, a group of talented receivers may not be far behind.

Prediction:

Geoff - 99%

All signs point to TCU, including what his mother and brother say about TCU.

Billy - 100%

He's coming to Fort Worth. No doubt in my mind on this one.

The number one receiver target for the Horned Frogs just happens to be a high school teammate of Rogers. The chemistry these two have is evident and they could be Boykin/Doctson 2.0. Marshall has been less vocal in his recruiting and will release his top list on June 9th. He has mentioned playing with Rogers is in the cards, but not a deal breaker.

Prediction:

Geoff - 40%

TCU will likely stay in the mix until his final decision, but LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas are beating on his door as well.

Billy - 60%

I think this comes down to TCU vs. the SEC powers and I think the Rogers factor could be the difference this year against these teams. There's not much these two guys don't do together, so it wouldn't shock me if they went to college together.

Bolden has played quarterback, running back, receiver and defensive back at West Monroe HS and excelled at each position. At TCU, he would likely be a slot receiver, but could see his share of carries with how they move their receivers/backs around in the offense.

Prediction:

Geoff - 45%

If running back is what he wants to play, his dream school LSU will have the lead. With the recent success of players like Christian McCaffrey and Percy Harvin, a school that moves him around may take the lead.

Billy - 50%

If he wasn't at West Monroe, I'd be lower, but TCU tends to get their West Monroe targets. A big year by Shaun Nixon could help as he could be that type of player here.

Chase is another Louisiana receiver with a good relationship with the TCU coaching staff. He has stayed in close contact with them throughout the process and likes how they could use him in the offense.

Prediction:

Geoff - 60%

This could be the next Kolby Listenbee at TCU. He's a track stud and he can fly. I mean really, he won the state championship in the long jump this year.

Billy - 50%

Speed baby. Chase can absolutely fly and that deep threat is something that would be used better at TCU than any of the SEC programs after him.

Barber is a talented athlete who could play on either side of the ball. TCU has recruited him primarily as a receiver and has mentioned early playing time due to six receivers graduating in 2018 as a key recruiting tool. He is a December graduate so he is likely to make a decision very soon.

Prediction:

Geoff - 75%

He's visited TCU multiple times over the past year and TCU holds the top spot as of now, but he's starting to get noticed by more schools and the offers are coming in fast.

Billy - 60%

TCU has been in on Barber since early in the process and should be in until the end. The uptick in his popularity is concerning when it comes to recruiting.

McCalister has been high on the Horned Frogs for a while now and he, like Rogers is being used in promotional flyers for Horned Frogs camps. Seems like a safe bet he's choosing the Frogs.

Prediction:

Geoff - 75%

I was really high on our chances in the spring, but he's shooting up some other teams boards, so I'm a little worried.

Billy - 100%

I'm all in here. I thought he'd be the first member of this class and he's holding out a little longer than I thought. The recent use of him on promo camp posters gives me more confidence.

Jamison is one of the top cornerbacks in the state and while some schools are concerned about his size, TCU isn't one of them. TCU alum Jason Verrett wasn't much bigger than Jamison when he arrived in Fort Worth and he's turned himself into a first round draft pick.

Prediction:

Geoff - 65%

I like TCU's chances because he is a very high priority for them. Texas and Penn State are the other big competitors. Texas is pursuing his high school teammate Anthony Cook more, but Penn State has made him their number one target at corner.

Billy - 75%

I wasn't very confident in this for a while, but he's shot up TCU's board and with that added importance, I think he has a better shot of landing here.
