Another Battle for the Iron Skillet results in another scare for the Horned Frogs, but ultimately the Frogs were able to pull away from the Mustangs 56-36 in Fort Worth. The Frogs came out flat against SMU and needed a late score before the half to take a 28-22 lead. Overall the Frogs didn't play that well, but still managed to put up 56 points and win. There were a few players that made an impact on Saturday's game. Here are the three stars from the Horned Frog victory.

Third Star

Darius Anderson - Running Back

Darius Anderson is really starting to come on in his second season as a Horned Frog. Anderson rushed 14 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns against the Mustangs. He also had a third touchdown called back due to a receiver not being lined up on the line of scrimmage. Anderson got the majority of the carries in the second half after Kyle Hicks went down with an injury and was a catalyst for the offense.

Second Star

Kenedy Snell - Running Back

The freshman scored the Frogs first touchdown on a 10-yard sweep and shifted the momentum to the Frogs with his 71-yard touchdown reception that gave the Frogs a 21-19 lead in the second quarter. Snell finished with 34 yards running and a score the 71 yard touchdown reception.

Hill completed passes to 12 different receivers including eight to Turpin in the win on Saturday.
