Evan Skoug joins Cody Jones (2015) as TCU players to win Big 12 Conference Player of the Year. Skoug has really turned it on in the second half of the year and leads the conference with 16 home runs on the season.

Also making the First Team were pitcher Jared Janczak, despite missing the last three weeks of conference play, second baseman Cam Warner and right fielder Austen Wade.

Janczak is 7-0 on the season with a 2.14 ERA and a conference best .154 opponent batting average. Jared struck out 67 batters in just ten games, including a Big 12 best 14 against Kansas on March 18th and didn't allow a home run all season.

The Horned Frogs leadoff hitter ranks second in the Big 12 with a .353 batting average and a .457 on-base percentage. Wade ranks in the Top 10 in conference in batting average, hits, walks, on-base percentage, stolen bases, runs scored and doubles.

Sean Wymer, Luken Baker, Nick Lodolo and Nolan Brown were named to the Second Team with Durbin Feltman and Brian Howard being named Honorable Mention.

Senior center fielder Nolan Brown bounced back from missing most of 2016 due to injury by making the second team. Brown is hitting .286 on the season and leads the Big 12 with 25 stolen bases.

Sophomore reliever Sean Wymer also makes the second team in his first year of considerable action. In his first year as the set-up man, Wymer has appeared in 24 games and has a 1.65 ERA on the season.

Freshman starter Nick Lodolo came out of the gate slow, but has had a nice run in conference going 2-0 with a 3.14 ERA.

It's the second consecutive year the Horned Frogs have had 10 players selected all-conference. Catcher Evan Skoug, second baseman Cam Warner, right fielder Austen Wade, first baseman Luken Baker, reliever Durbin Feltman and starter Brian Howard all made all-conference in 2016 as well.
