TCU Women's Basketball added their first member to the 2018 class with the commitment of Alex Crain from McKinney, TX on Friday afternoon. The 5-foot-9 Crain is one of the top guards in the state and will provide the Horned Frogs with scoring threat in 2018.

Crain was named a 2015-16 2nd Team All-American by National Christian HomeSchool Basketball. She plays for the THESA Riders of the Texas Homeschool Educator's Sports Association. The Riders have won six national titles in the last ten years and Crain will bring a winning mentality to Fort Worth with her.

Alex averaged 13.9 points per game last year and displays a developed mid-range game. She can score off the dribble and in the catch-and-shoot. She attacks the basket well and is developing better touch around the bucket. Crain is very athletic, averaging 6.6 rebounds per game at only 5-foot-9 and is also a very good on the ball defender, averaging 2.2 steals per game last year.
