TCU Hosts Big Time Basketball Recruits on Campus

It was a busy weekend for TCU Basketball assistants David Patrick, Corey Barker, and Tom Herrion. They had five high profile visitors on campus. A pair of 2019 players from Missouri City and members of the Houston Defenders 2019 select team Quinn Slazinski and Cameron Cohn, the 63rd ranked player in the 2018 class, Jaeden Ledee, 2017 top prospect Jarred Vanderbilt and 7'1" center Nikola Scekic from Hutchinson CC in Kansas.

Vanderbilt had an in-home visit last week in Houston and made his way up to Fort Worth this past weekend to check out the campus and facilities for himself. Scekic could add some much needed size to the TCU front court. Scekic played at New Mexico in 2015 before transferring to Hutchinson CC last fall. Ledee has been to the TCU campus multiple times over the past year. Cohn and Slazinski both were on campus in late August for the TCU Elite Basketball Camp.

TCU has two remaining scholarship offers for the 2017 class and has commitments from four-star recruits Kevin Samuel and R.J. Nembhard. The 2018 class has four spots left to join four-star PG Kendric Davis. Houston is becoming the new hotbed for TCU recruiting with Samuel and Davis currently committed and Vanderbilt, Ledee, Jacobi Gordon, Cohn and Slazinski as targets.

The future looks bright in Fort Worth, not just now, but in the future as well.
