TCU hoping to make waves at Rivals Five-Star Challenge

The sixth annual Rivals Five-Star Challenge is taking place today and tomorrow in Indianapolis and the TCU Horned Frogs have their future quarterback taking part along with some potential future #CarterBoys. In addition to TCU Commit Justin Rogers, the Horned Frogs have offers out to Rogers' high school teammate Terrace Marshall and fellow Louisiana native Ja'Marr Chase. TCU has a good chance to land at least, if not both of these receivers in 2018. Chase released his Top 3 last week of TCU, LSU and Tennessee. Marshall is expected to make his decision in December.

On the offensive line, the Horned Frogs are hoping to land center Justin Dedich, from Chapparal HS in Temecula, CA. Dedich is a former teammate of 2017 TCU signee Michael Onyemoabi. TCU has started to recruit more California and in the northwest in recent years. Having former Cal coach Sonny Dykes on staff also helps open a future pipeline into California.

The defensive line is represented by a pair of recent offers from St. Louis, MO. Defensive end Ronnie Perkins and defensive tackle Michael Thompson are two pass-rushing specialists that Gary Patterson would love to have in Fort Worth to cause Big 12 quarterbacks headaches for the next four years.

And the Horned Frogs are still in the mix for a pair of cornerbacks that are also in Indianapolis for the event. Jalen Green from Houston Heights and D'Shawn Jamison from Houston Lamar are showing off their skills as well. The matchups of potential future Frogs Jamison and Chase or Green and Marshall should be fun to watch.

Justin Rogers has his work cut out for him. He's definitely going to spend some time with Dedich, Marshall and Chase. Hopefully he can sell TCU to some of the defensive guys as well. Good luck to all of these guys regardless of whether they end up in Fort Worth in 2018.
