Nembhard is a 6'4" 180 pound combo guard with good court vision and is a natural scorer. RJ possesses a high basketball IQ and has a natural feel for the game often seeing things before they develop. He has a smooth jump shot and good quickness. He fits a need at TCU, which needs combo guards that can shoot and defend. He can score with either hand and also shoots the mid-range jumper well.

Nembhard joins 2016 point guard Jaylen Fisher as the second Four-Star player to commit to TCU since Jamie Dixon was hired in late March. In all, TCU has added four commitments, a 2016 point guard (Fisher), 2017 shooting guard (Nembhard) and small forward (Noi) and a 2018 point guard (Kendric Davis).
