Your TCU Horned Frogs emerged victorious in the Global Sports Classic held in Las Vegas. TCU defeated UNLV 63-59 on Friday night, led by Desmond Bane's 15 points and Kenrich Williams' 18 rebounds. The Frogs held UNLV to just 38.6% shooting (22-57) and out-rebounded their opponent (42-39) for the fifth straight game. It was close throughout and a young TCU team was able to settle down and get the victory while only shooting 36.2% (21-58) themselves.

That victory set up a showdown with the Washington Huskies, led by their fabulous freshman Markelle Fultz. The future NBA lottery pick did everything he could against the Frogs on Saturday night, scoring 27 points, but it wasn't enough to slow down the Frog offense that shot 52.6% in route to their 93-80 victory. Although they had plenty of offense all night, defense is what led them to victory. TCU was able to put pressure on the Huskies guards and force turnovers from their 2-3 zone defense and out rebounded the Huskies 36-29. The Frogs have out-rebounded their opponents in all six games this season. Sophomore guard Alex Robinson stepped up for the Frogs off of the bench with 24 points, including 4-6 from deep. Junior forward Vladimir Brodziansky had 12 points and 6 rebound in just 16 minutes off the bench. Kaviar Shepherd (15), Kenrich Williams (11) and Jaylen Fisher (10) also finished in double figures for the Frogs in the victory.
