Pepperdine was his only Division 1 offer after a stellar career at Tulsa Union HS where led Union to the 6A state title while averaging 18.9 points/game as a senior and was named 6A state tournament most valuable player. Olden was named the 2014 Willis Mackey Player of the Year, given to the state player of the year by the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association. He suffered a ankle injury that ended his sophomore campaign at Pepperdine early and he elected to transfer to junior college to give himself a fresh start. He was able to maintain a medical redshirt for the 2015-16 season.

The 6-foot-3 shooting guard will have two years of eligibility remaining when he arrives in Fort Worth. Olden is currently averaging 16.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and is hooting 36.6% from 3-point territory. He will add another ball-handler with 3-point range to a Horned Frog team that lost junior guard Malique Trent to transfer and is losing Michael Williams to graduation.

Olden is a player accustomed to playing in a motion-style offense much like the one Jamie Dixon employs at TCU. Olden is always ready to shoot and can get to the rim as well. A quick, effortless leaper, Olden will add even more explosiveness to a young and athletic core of guards in Fort Worth.
