TCU adds JUCO defensive end to #CarterBoys17

With the defensive end position thin this spring, TCU head coach Gary Patterson said the Horned Frogs would look to add another defensive end this summer. It looks as though they have found their man. Michael Epley will join the Frogs after playing at Tyler Junior College this past season.

Epley committed to SMU in 2014 after solid career at Leander HS near Austin. He redshirted his first season in Dallas and played four games in 2015 before deciding to make a change. He landed at Tyler Junior College after hearing good things from Mustang teammates Matt Davis and Caleb Tuiasosopo, who both attended Tyler J.C. Now he finds himself heading to Fort Worth to help a depleted defensive line that lost three defensive ends since December. The Horned Frogs are hoping Epley can make an impact like last year's JUCO defensive end, Mat Boesen, who tallied 6.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss. Epley adds another larger defensive end to the mix as well, having bulked up to 255 pounds and could find his way onto the field sooner, rather than later. Epley will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Horned Frogs.
