Frogs Flip RB Fabian Franklin from Mississippi State

The TCU Horned Frogs have flipped Hattiesburg, MS running back Fabian Franklin from his commitment to Mississippi State to the Frogs. TCU was in the mix earlier in the year for Franklin before he chose Mississippi State, but with Dan Mullen leaving the Bulldogs for the head coaching job at Florida, the Horned Frogs saw an opportunity to jump back in the mix for the talented back.

Franklin carried 112 times for 725 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season at Hattiesburg HS in Hattiesburg, MS. He also hauled in eight catches for 93 yards and another score. Franklin is a bigger back than some of the previous commits for the Horned Frogs at over 190 pounds. The offense for the Frogs this season was more productive with a higher emphasis on the running game. Franklin will give the Frogs another back to compliment Darius Anderson, Sewo Olonilua and Kenedy Snell in 2018.

Franklin visited the Frogs on Sunday and committed to the coaching staff that evening. Franklin's high school coach Tony Vance confirmed the news Monday afternoon. The commitment of Franklin gives the Frogs 20 commitments for the 2018 class and he is now the only running back committed to the Frogs after Ta'Zhawn Henry decommitted last night. Franklin is the second commit from the state of Mississippi after the addition of Pro Wells from Northwest Mississippi Community College last week.
