#CarterBoys18 continues to grow in talent and today they added All-State linebacker Ben Wilson from Sumner, WA.
Wilson chose the Horned Frogs over Arizona State, Utah, Cal, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Washington State. Wilson is a 6-foot-2 220 pound linebacker who ranks as the sixth best player in the state of Washington.
Wilson is the first player from Washington in 2018 to join TCU, but is the third player from the state, joining offensive guard Quazzel White and long snapper Lucas Gravelle. Wilson was named All-American by Max Preps, All-State by USA Today and was the SPSL 4A Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. He led the state with 201 tackles in 13 games last year. The tape speaks for itself.
He's a do everything linebacker, he can cover (4.6 40 yard dash), he can rush the quarterback (9 sacks) and he can make the tackle in space (201 tackles). He is going to flourish in Gary Patterson's 4-2-5 defense that allows linebackers to roam free and make plays.
