TCU Basketball Signs Three Recruits
The TCU basketball team announced Wednesday the signing of three commits.
Karviar Shepherd, Brandon Parrish and Michael Williams all signed letters of intent to play for head coach Trent Johnson's squad next season.
Shepherd, the No. 3 ranked center in the country, is the gem of what likely has been one of the Horned Frogs best recruiting classes ever.
"Karviar is one of the top post players in the country," Johnson said in a press release. "His decision to commit to what we are building here at TCU speaks volumes for him as a person."
Parrish, a three-star from Arlington, is also a top-150 recruit and ranked as the No. 25 small forward in the country.
Parrish averaged 14.2 points and 3.3 rebounds a game last season at Seguin High School.
"Brandon is a talented perimeter player with tremendous upside," Johnson said. "We are extremely excited about his ability to be a complete basketball player, and his size will allow him to score in a variety of ways."
Williams, another three-star, averaged 12.6 points and 3.1 assists a game last year at Reagan High School in San Antonio. He also received interest from Utah, Nebraska, Creighton and Penn.
"Michael is a talented point guard who will provide us with leadership, toughness and perimeter scoring," Johnson said. "Even as a scoring point guard, he maintains a team-first mentality."
