Eagles offer Sunshine State ATH

Marcus Davis has received a lot of good news lately. Until recently he hadn't found his name in a lot of headlines but now the offers are coming in.

Davis' first BCS offer came from Duke a little while back and now Boston College has become the second to verbally offer him.

"I just got off the phone with Coach Desai and Boston College has offered," an excited Davis said on Wednesday evening.

It was his first time speaking with anyone from Boston College but his high school coach had told him the Eagles were showing interest.

He told Davis to give the BC staff a call and when he did he found out about the offer.

"The first thing that came to mind is it's another good academic school," he said, obviously referencing the earlier Duke offer.

"It's another great opportunity to play in the ACC. I'm just real excited at the opportunity."

Davis said he plans to visit Boston College over the summer but nothing has been hammered out on the calendar yet.

BC hasn't specified what position they would like him to play and said they are recruiting him as an athlete.

This weekend Davis will be visiting Duke for the Blue Devils' spring game. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete from Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage School said he has no favorites.
