Hawkeyes offer New Jersey RB

The Iowa coaching staff has recruited Timber Creek High School in New Jersey pretty heavily in recent years and is back there again in the Class of 2013. This past weekend, the Hawkeyes extended their third offer at the school, which went to running back Zaire Williams, who transferred into Timber Creek from Cherokee High School this winter.

"Coach Hinson was talking to some of the coaches at Iowa and I guess they really liked my film and wanted to offer," said Williams. "I was really happy to hear that. It's definitely a blessing."

At Cherokee High School, Williams finished with 195 carries for 1,621 yards and 28 touchdowns last season.
