Excerp from an October report on Wilson from ESPNU...
Additionally, Wilson expressed what he's seeking in a school, "I am looking for a place where I feel like it feels like family, and where I am not just a number. I want to feel like one of their players as soon as I am on their campus. I want to go to a school where I know the coaches are going to take care of me. I don't want to a place where the coaches only treat you like a player and not like a person as well. I want to play as a freshman." "I also want to get a good degree and I want to go to a school where that degree is going to help me get a good job after football is over for me. I want to major in business because I want to own my own business someday."
When he made these statements back in October of 2008, TCU wasn't even in the picture as he only listed OU and Texas as schools he was looking at.
Sounds to me like TCU offers everything this young man is looking for, especially the early playing time part! Additionally, in another more recent interview with the same ESPNU, he states that "driving distance" for his parents is a major consideration. With TCU being about 15 miles away and Austin in the neighborhood of 190 miles, again advantage Frogs!
