TCU was picked to finish fifth in its inaugural season in the Big 12 by the media covering the conference.

The Frogs received one first place vote and accumulated 260 points, putting them just three ahead of sixth-place Kansas State and seven behind fourth-place Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma ran away with first place in the preseason poll, gathering 32 of the 41 total votes.

The other Big 12 newcomer, West Virginia, was picked to finish second, acquiring seven first-place votes.

The media foresees a resurgence in the Texas program, picking the Longhorns third with 291 points, but no first place votes.

Baylor, Iowa State, Texas Tech and Kansas round out the bottom four in the conference respectively.
