Bears open Fall Camp
Normally lost in the crowd, blending into the sea of blue and yellow in between his teammates, only to hold the result of entire games in the sole of his foot in the most heart pounding of times, senior placekicker Tom Schneider and the rest of his leg-wielding mates were the first players to slowly emerge from the tunnel in Section CC of Memorial Stadium Monday afternoon moments before the Cal football team opened Fall Camp. Yes folks, the 2007 season has officially begun.
Cal officially reported to Fall Camp Sunday afternoon, as the team will stay in the castle-like designed Bowels Hall just steps from Memorial Stadium for the next three weeks. Getting together as a team for the first time since last December's impressive 45-10 squashing of Texas A&M in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego to complete an impressive 2006 affair, the Bears come into the new season with arguably the most weight on their shoulders and pressure to perform in recent memory.
