Big defensive plays carry Horned Frogs
While it took some time for the offense to get going Saturday, the defense did a great job of keeping the Horned Frogs in the game.
SMU had 126 yards of offense in the first quarter thanks, in part, to a 50-yard gain on a flea flicker. That led to a one-yard touchdown, but after that play, the Mustangs were limited to just 45 yards in the middle two quarters.
TCU coach Gary Patterson said he made an adjustment after that first scoring drive to help his defense.
