2013 forward Alex Foster was all smiles when he visited the Assembly Hall last Sunday for the Fighting Illini game versus Ohio State. The 6-foot-8 high school freshman had much to be happy about. His Chicago De La Salle Meteors were on a roll, taking eight of their last nine games and sitting atop the Chicago Catholic League with a perfect 11-0 record. Foster is playing well and appears to be peaking at the right time with the state playoffs looming, but he had to navigate a few valleys to make it to this point.
